Dear Member,
As the number of national coronavirus (COVID-19) cases continues to rise, the safety of staff and members is our primary concern.
Please be assured that we have the appropriate plans in place to continue to provide you with the service you would expect from us. We are well equipped to keep our services operating, and our staff have appropriate technical support in place to be able to work remotely, when and where required.
As per the latest government advice, we are now not allowing members to visit the Sheffield office.
Instead, you can help us by making use of available technology:
- Register for online banking and download our app https://www.transaveuk.co.uk/switcher/. You will then be able to view and use your account from the safety and comfort of your own home.
- If you have an enquiry, please contact us via email wherever possible and we’ll reply to you as soon as we can. This will allow our telephone staff to focus on urgent enquiries and those members who have no online access.
Throughout these challenging times we will be as flexible and sympathetic as we can within the constraints of a medium size business. We will try to judge all cases on merit whether the request is to reduce or reschedule loan repayments, withdraw shares or any other reasonable action. If you have been financially affected, we are here to listen and to try to help wherever possible.
However, we expect a very large number of such requests and may therefore have to temporarily limit such things as the size of maximum loans in order to spread our limited resources wider to as many members as possible.
We continue to monitor the coronavirus situation and will keep you up to date with any further developments through our regular communication channels, such as member emails, social media, our website, and automated telephone answer messages.
If you have any questions or concerns about our services, products or your credit union account, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible so we can discuss your individual circumstances.
Finally, and most importantly, please take care of yourself and your nearest and dearest. On our part we will do everything we reasonably can to help everyone – especially our most vulnerable members.
Yours sincerely,
Rachael Hardman-Jones
