COVID-19 member Support

How we’re supporting members affected by coronavirus

As a credit union, our members come first. We know that recent developments around coronavirus (COVID-19) will be concerning for many of you and causing disruption to your daily lives. As always Transave are here to help and support you through challenging times.

We’re keeping a close eye on the situation and have put in place measures to support you during any personal disruption, ill health or financial difficulty arising from coronavirus.

Visiting the Transave office

Following advice from the government our office has closed during the lockdown period. However, we are committed to offering the high standard of service you would expect from us. Our opening times have not changed and please feel free to contact us by telephone or email.

During lockdown, we advise you to download our Transave app, which is available 24 hours a day. Registering for online access is important and an effective way to manage your account with us, wherever you are. Register here.

Worried about money?

Our Customer Services Support team are here to help you through challenging times. While everyone will have individual needs, some of the ways we may be supporting members over the short term include:

  • Up to 3-month payment holidays for personal loans
  • Extension on your current loan term
  • Support for members in financial difficulty.

We’ll listen to your situation and work with you to look at what steps we can put in place to help. For more information about a payment holiday click here.

Protect yourself from fraud

Be aware that some criminals are using coronavirus to trick people into sharing personal or financial information.

Watch out for:

  • Cold calls from criminals pretending to be from Transave or other respectable organisations.
  • Strangers claiming they will help buy your shopping if you give them your card and PIN.
  • Emails that ask you to click on a link to log in, update information, or to access important news.

Stay safe:

  • Remember that Transave will never ask for your password or ask you to move money to a safe account.
  • Never give your card and PIN to a stranger.
  • If you are suspicious about something, give us a call.
